When things don't go the way you planned, TRUST.
Typically the motto of my life is don't expect and don't focus on the results. As Bhagavad Gita says, perform your dharma and do not worry about the fruits of your labor. And I have realized along the years that the less I expect from anything or anyone, the more peaceful I am. Only glitch, I forget to follow it through - many many times.
Something similar happened this month when I worked really really hard and put my heart and soul into an upcoming event. My creative juices were flowing and I was feeling great! I had a number of new art pieces done, I was collaborating with a beautiful soul and the artist in me was super happy. Didn't matter if anyone liked what I did or took interest or even bought my art pieces....because I was expressing my creative side fully and THAT is what mattered.
Or did it.
Turns out, I DID expect art lovers to like it. I DID want them to acknowledge how great my art was. And I DID want them to buy it.
That's just GREAT! There goes everything that I have learnt and practiced, down the drain. I realized it the first evening when I didn't make many sales. Oh the sadness that filled my being. My energy just dropped! Why did I leave everything to create art? What was I thinking?? I am not that good! I took the risk too quick, I should have just continued working and pursuing it as a hobby....blah blah blah. My ego just needed a little nudge and in no time it took over. My evening continued with heavy heart , a glass of wine and positive consolations from my heart to my self. Sometimes these positive consolations work and most of the time they don't. Because it is your mind telling the other part of your mind to feel positive. While your body and heart are feeling something completely different.
My friends, that evening, it didn't work.
So I decided to sleep it off. And THAT works, ALWAYS.
Next morning was a brand new beautiful day. It was a day filled with GRATITUDE towards the Divine - for giving me this chance to follow my heart. It was a day filled with JOY - for my heart brought me closer to new friends who share the same love and passion for creative living. And it was a day filled with TRUST - in our Universe - because our beautiful and one of a kind Universe works in mysterious ways. Ways our limited understanding cannot comprehend and shouldn't even try to.
The only thing we need to do is TRUST THE MYSTERIES OF OUR UNIVERSE. Because with TRUST comes SURRENDER.
And with SURRENDER comes PEACE.

When you are in harmony with your own Self, you entire being is filled with a sense of peace and inner calm. Everything around you shall seem to flow smoothly, nothing shall feel stuck and nothing shall seem to bother you anymore. Your life situation might not change, but your relationship to it will.
Can you imagine being in this state every moment of your day? When everything seems to flow, like river. I have had many experiences when I felt peace, bliss and joy embrace me completely. Sometimes it lasted for few seconds , sometime hours and sometime even a day. And the thing is, once you have experienced this state, your entire being can never forget it. You will long for it subconsciously. Even if you ignore that sense of peace you once accidentally experienced, you will be reminded of it again and again and again....till once day you decide that you cannot thrive without experiencing that blissful state again. From that moment, universe will bring forth opportunities to guide you towards that state. All you need to do it recognize those opportunities and say YES !
Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better ~Albert Einstein~
Nature is around us, nature is within us. We are not separate from it but a part of the whole....if we hurt nature, we hurt ourselves. Nature is not just in the rainforest, in the ocean, in the mountains or rivers....it is in every tiny cell surrounding us, in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat.....right here in our homes, on our streets and in the city we live in.
On... this day we celebrate as Earth Day, even if we take one little step to respect what surrounds us and is a part of us, we will help not just the well being of this nature, but our own health and well being.
Just one little step from all of us.....just one.
The Goddess doesn't enter us from outside; she emerges from deep within. She is not held back by what happened in the past. She is conceived in consciousness, born in love, and nurtured by higher thinking. She is integrity and value, created and sustained by the hard work of personal growth and the discipline of a life lived actively in hope.
When you let go of the urge to provide meaning to each and every action, a shift happens and it brings forth images that you could have never imagined.
Through this pen n ink drawing, my intuitive Self wanted to illustrate Sun Salutation.
Sun salutation or "Surya Namaskar" has been a part of yoga for thousands of years. By honoring the light of Surya, you are honoring your inner light and wisdom.
I came across this beautiful article by Richard Rosen on Sun Salutation - its history and significance. Thought about sharing it!
O Mother Divine....
Gentle yet Powerful
Loving yet Just
Symbol of birth, love and creation
The source of our existence....the reason of our being.
